1. Guided tour: Podestat Palace – Pier of Tastes

During the Pier of Tastes event, visitors are invited to discover one of Izola’s most important historical buildings – the Podestà Palace.

On a 30-minute guided tour, visitors will explore the story of the palace, which is now awakening in a new form. The tour explains who the podestà was and the role he played during the time of the Venetian Republic, how Venice influenced the development of the town, and what secrets are revealed by the façade of this remarkable building.

The tour also offers insight into the current restoration of the palace – how it is progressing, what experts are uncovering, and what future awaits this important part of Izola’s heritage.

A short yet content-rich journey through the history and architecture of the Podestà Palace.
