Tamariska is a female vocal group from Izola, founded by singers with the desire to “plant something beautiful, creative, and lasting within ourselves and our surroundings.”
The group’s name comes from the tamarisk – a typical Mediterranean shrub, adaptable, resilient, and with delicate pink blossoms – with which the singers identify as women from the Littoral and Istria.
Their distinctive feature is the way they weave together stories and include various groups (dancers, musicians, students, seniors, and people with special needs) in a shared act of creation.

Free tickets can be collected at the Alga Gallery or at the Izola Tourist Information Centre (TIC Izola).
