Tom is a directionless tennis instructor at a luxury island hotel, passing the time between lessons with alcohol and casual sex. His routine is disrupted by the arrival of the Maguire family: the attractive blonde Anne, her arrogant husband Dave, and their seven-year-old son Anton. Tom cannot shake the feeling that he has met Anne before. When Dave mysteriously disappears one night, Tom and Anne become the main suspects.

This sun-drenched neo-noir was directed by German filmmaker Jan Ole Gerster, with the screenplay co-written by the recently deceased Slovenian screenwriter and director Blaž Kutin, also the author of the script for Gerster’s previous feature film Lara. The film premiered in the Berlinale Special Gala section.
