Izolana – guided museum tour
On the occasion of the Pier of Tastes event, on 2 May 2026, a one-hour guided tour of Izolana – House of the Sea will be organised.
Visitors are invited to join an engaging guided experience, where through stories, photographs, and authentic objects they will discover the rich maritime and fishing heritage of Izola.
During the one-hour tour, a guide will lead visitors through the story of the lives of Izola’s fishermen, the development of the fishing industry, and the everyday life of people that has been closely intertwined with the sea for centuries. Special attention is also given to the story of the renowned Delamaris factory and the women who played an important role in shaping its history.
The guided tour offers an in-depth museum experience, enriched with engaging explanations, historical insights, and lesser-known details from Izola’s past.
At the end, each visitor receives a city map and an engaging challenge: to use the map to find a selected location in Izola.
