Izolana – guided museum tour
Visitors are invited to join a guided tour of the Izolana – House of the Sea museum, where stories, photographs, and objects reveal the rich maritime and fishing heritage of Izola.
During the one-hour tour, the guide leads visitors through the story of the lives of Izola’s fishermen, the development of the fishing industry, and the everyday life of people whose lives were closely connected with the sea for centuries. Special attention is also given to the story of the famous Delamaris factory and the women who shaped its history.
The guided tour offers an opportunity to experience the museum in greater depth, with engaging explanations, historical insights, and lesser-known details from Izola’s past.
Each visitor also receives a city map and a small task: to find a specific location using the map.
