Location: Cultural Centre Izola
Time: 8.00 pm
Entrance fee: 18/20 €
Pišti Gajaš (Vlado Novak), the car mechanic from The Rooster's Breakfast (2007), is back in action!
After the big hit Gajaš, arrestant from the pen of this year's Prešeren Prize winner Feri Lainšček, Slovenian film, television and theatre actor Vlado Novak, this time without a mask on his face and without too much distance, talks about his life and makes a final reckoning. After the film Rooster's Breakfast, in which he became a living Slovenian legend, and the play GAJAŠ, ARESTANT, a hit with more than 200 repetitions, the unbreakable mechanic with a heart of gold, Pišti Gajaš, after his release from prison, finds himself in a different time and place, in a different prison.
Once again on the boards of the Ptuj City Theatre! Exactly 25 years after the first professional theatre production in Ptuj (Speech to a Little Man, 1996)! This time again in Lainščko's story, performed by the same tandem as twenty-five years ago: director Samo M. Strelec and Vlado Novak as Pišti Gajaš! Pišti Gajaš comes to terms with himself, society and the system and - without a mask on his face - confronts God and freedom.
Short and fun! And one that makes you think!
"Pishti Gajaš de mask on you nose no!"
The performance will take place at the Izola Cultural Centre on Friday, 16 February 2024 at 8 pm.
