The Little Gnomes’ Sewing Workshop

10:00–11:00
For children aged 6 and above and their parents.
Participation is free of charge (voluntary contributions are welcome).
Places are limited – advance registration via the online form is required.

Handcrafts teach people to use their will in thinking. Those who can skillfully use their fingers also develop flexible thoughts and ideas, and more easily reach the essence of things.

This workshop is the second in a series of creative meetings for children and parents that will take place in various locations across Slovenian Istria. Through handcrafts and creative work with natural materials (wool, wood, wax, etc.), children will strengthen their will, deepen their sense of beauty, and develop flexible thinking.

The workshop will be led by Tinka Leskovšek, an illustrator who studied art education and has been living and creating in Venice for the past nine years.

Lecture on Waldorf Education

11:00–12:00
For parents and educators.
Participation is free of charge (voluntary contributions are welcome).
Places are limited – advance registration via the online form is required.

For the second year in a row, the Modrin initiative has been actively working to establish a branch of a Waldorf primary school in Slovenian Istria. The initiative is supported by the Waldorf School of Ljubljana and by interested educators who have joined a three-year Waldorf teacher training programme in Ljubljana this year.

From the 2026/2027 school year onwards, the aim is to enable enrolment for children in grades 1 to 3, and later gradually expand to higher grades and a preschool programme.

The lecture will be given by Andreja Pliberšek, an experienced Waldorf teacher.
