Story:
The historical drama The Face follows an Orthodox child who, during World War II, flees from fascist units and finds refuge in the home of an unknown Albanian. The story is set during World War II in a small, remote village on the border between Serbia, Montenegro, and Albania.
The Orthodox child, who lost their parents in an attack by a fascist paramilitary unit, finds shelter in the home of a complete stranger – a man with whom they share neither language, religion, nor blood: the Albanian Nur Doka.
Nur faces a difficult moral dilemma: whether to hand the child over to the persecutors and thus violate the centuries-old code of his household, or to risk the lives of all his family members in order to protect a stranger and save his honor.
The drama, inspired by true events, is directed by Nikola Vukčević, with a screenplay by Melina Pota Koljević and Ana Vujadinović. The main roles are played by Edon Rizvanolli, Nikola Ristanovski, Igor Benčina, Alban Ukaj, Aleksandar Radulović, Branimir Popović, Ana Vučković, Elez Adžović, Vuk Bulajić, Selman Jusufi, Xhejlane Terbunja, Zef Bato Dedivanović, Merisa Adžović, and Hana Pavlović.
