One Battle After Another is a gripping action film about a former revolutionary who, after his daughter disappears, must return to a world of violence and betrayal to save her – and, in doing so, confront his own past. One of the film’s central themes is the relationship between father and daughter – understanding, distrust, protection – which ties together all the dynamic real and symbolic conflicts in the story.
