On Friday, 5 December 2025, at 5 PM, the official opening of the ice rink and the switching on of the festive lights will take place, filling the streets and the square with the warm, sparkling glow of the holiday season. Together with the mayor, visitors will count down to the moment when Izola lights up in its festive attire. The event will also be brightened by the arrival of Saint Nicholas, who will delight the youngest visitors, and he will be joined by the Vesele rokice mascots, adding an extra touch of playful and heartwarming holiday cheer.
The programme will be accompanied by music from the popular group LPS, who gained recognition with their hit Disko and represented Slovenia at Eurovision 2022. With their youthful energy and catchy rhythms, they will ensure an evening full of good cheer and a lively dancing atmosphere.
