New Year's Celebration at Lonka
We will welcome the New Year at Lonka. On December 30, at 6:00 PM, Grandfather Frost will visit the youngest, followed by a performance by the band Čuki.
As we step into the New Year, the lively rhythms of the Lisjaki band will keep us entertained, allowing you to sing and dance to many hits of Slovenian folk and popular music, as well as evergreen melodies from our Croatian neighbors. Rock enthusiasts can look forward to a great New Year's Eve with the Bon Jovi tribute band that will bring a "rock and roll" euphoria to the stage.
On the first day of the New Year, we will celebrate with legendary Beatles hits performed by HELP! – A Beatles Tribute.
Ice Island on Radio Capris
The thematic radio station Ice Island, broadcast online by Radio Capris, will contribute to the pleasant atmosphere during the winter events in Izola.
Tune in and enjoy the music even when you’re not with us!
The Charity Fridge
We invite all visitors to the Ice Island and locals to join a donation campaign and help socially disadvantaged families in our region. With the Charity Fridge, opened in Izola by the Slovenian Association of Friends of Youth in cooperation with Radio Capris, you can donate essential items during the ice rink's operating hours in December, brightening the festive days for those in need.
We are collecting non-perishable food items such as flour, oil, vinegar, pasta, canned tomatoes, pâtés, rice, barley, oats, lentils, beans, peas, and similar items. We also accept personal hygiene products and cleaning supplies. Additionally, we welcome new scarves, hats, gloves, slippers, and board games.
Where to Park When Visiting the Ice Island?
We encourage all locals and visitors near Izola's town center to visit the Ice Island on foot, enjoy the festive lights, and do something for your health. Intercity buses are available, and within Izola, the free "Kurjerca" shuttle, primarily for seniors, is also at your service.
