L’elisir d’amore (1832) by Gaetano Donizetti is one of the most successful and beloved comic operas of the 19th century. The story of the simple Nemorino, who turns to a “miraculous elixir” in his search for love, unfolds through a series of witty yet also surprisingly touching scenes. With his characteristic melodic lightness and exceptional sense of dramatic timing, Donizetti creates a work in which comedy naturally intertwines with lyricism, reaching its peak in the famous aria Una furtiva lagrima.

The opera will take place on Friday, 7 August 2026 at 9:00 PM at the Summer Cinema Arrigoni in Izola, performed by the Pehlivanian Professional Opera Academy.
