Visit the Open Day with a free boat ride from Izola!
The Sustainable Garden at Debeli rtič invites visitors to its autumn Open Day, dedicated to discovering herbs and preparing the garden for winter. Visitors can enjoy practical workshops, nature exploration activities for children and the planting of new pine trees together in the health resort’s park.
A free boat transfer from Izola is being organised. Departure is scheduled for 8.15 am from the pier by Hotel Marina, with arrival at Debeli rtič at 9.45 am. Places are limited, so advance registration is required. The boat service will operate in favourable weather conditions and with sufficient registrations, a minimum of 25 people.
Adults will learn which herbs to cut back in autumn, which to leave untouched and which can be transplanted into pots. Children will become “Nature Detectives”, discovering herbs by observing, smelling, touching and tasting them. During the workshop, they will also make herb salt to take home.
