Romana Krajnčan, one of Slovenia’s most popular creators of music and performances for children, returns with a new magical musical adventure. The family musical How the Little Ant Became Angry takes the audience into a musical universe of tangled songs, which Romana sets out to unravel together with the curious Little Ant and the magical Čaroblik.

Children become an important part of the story, helping to solve puzzles through singing, dancing and participation while discovering how cooperation, courage and music can overcome even the most complicated challenge. The performance features some of Romana’s best-known songs, which have long been part of Slovenia’s children’s musical heritage, making the show enjoyable for both children and adults.

The cast features Romana Krajnčan as Romana, Veronika Valdes as the Little Ant, Žigan Krajnčan as Čaroblik and Nace Novak as Čaroblik’s Shadow. They are joined by young local dancers as special guests.

The story and script are by Kristijan Krajnčan, with music and arrangements by Lojze Krajnčan. Romana Krajnčan and Marijan Vodopivec also contributed to the music. Song lyrics were written by Andrej Rozman Roza, Kajetan Kovič, Dušan Graifoner, Ksenija Šoster Olmer and Branko Rudolf. The performance is directed by Yulia Kristoforova, with choreography by Žigan Krajnčan, costumes by Jelena Proković, set design by Vasilija Fišer, props by Neva Vrba and sound design by Andrej Kobal. Technical support is provided by Demo Produkcija.

The ticket price for an individual performance is €10.

The performance is also part of the Children’s Subscription Series, which can be purchased until the first performance, 10 October 2026.

The Children’s Subscription Series costs €25 for children, while the price for an accompanying adult is €20.
