The Britten String Orchestra for Young Talents was founded in 2007 by their conductor Loes Visser. She founded the orchestra as a platform for young talented string players who want to develop their musical skills in an inspiring, high level and musically challenging but also fun environment. They work closely with AtEZ Conservatory Zwolle in the Netherlands. The Britten String Orchestra aims to perform with inspiring experienced soloists and young talented musicians. Each year the orchestra performs with the winners of the Britten String Competition aged 10 to 18. Some of the excellent soloists who have played with the orchestra include Daniel Wayenberg (piano), Liza Ferschtman (violin), Maria Milstein (violin), Gavriel Lipkind (cello), Charlie Siem (violin) and Daniel Rowland (violin). The orchestra has performed trios for the Dutch Royal Family and is a regular guest at Dutch theatres and concerts on country estates.
