The Gora Rocka Festival, which for nearly two decades has combined high-quality music, charity, and unforgettable energy, will once again come to life this year from 26 to 29 June on Šentviška Gora. But before the main event, the musical excitement will kick off in April – with the first of three preliminary rounds, where young bands will showcase their creativity and compete for a spot on the festival’s main stage.
The event at Hangar Bar in Izola will be hosted by Marko Žerjal.
Charity for Lora
This preliminary round will also serve a charitable purpose – all proceeds will go to Lora, a two-year-old girl living with a rare genetic disorder known as GAND. Her only hope for a better future lies in gene therapy, for which her family needs to raise one million euros.
A charity donation of 5 euros will be collected at the entrance, and all proceeds will go towards Lora’s treatment in collaboration with the Palčica Pomagalčica Foundation. Supporters can also contribute by purchasing Laško beer – all profits from beer sales will be donated.
