Concert: Harmonija (Z)druženja

The vocal group Tamariska, in collaboration with the female vocal group Adrija from Trieste, which operates under the Slovenian Cultural Association Barkovlje, and with talented young musicians – soloists Katarina Zorec and Irenea Nejka Čuk, and instrumentalists Teja Udovič Kovačič and Irene Ferro-Casagrande – has prepared a concert entitled Harmony of (Re)Union.

The musicians will perform Stabat Mater by Italian Baroque composer Giovanni Battista Pergolesi. The piece is based on a medieval Latin text that describes the suffering of the Virgin Mary during the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Pergolesi’s work is considered one of the most renowned musical settings of this text, known for its emotional depth and lyrical beauty. It is often performed during the Lenten season.

The concert will last approximately 60 minutes.

If the date in Izola is not convenient for you, you are welcome to attend the concert on Monday, 14 April 2025, at 8:00 PM in the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene in Basovizza.
