At the end of September and the beginning of October, Izola – more precisely, Ljubljanska Street (Largo pri Špini) – will once again host the Street Film Festival, called UFF (Ulični filmski festival).

This will be the third edition of this “small festival,” which was initiated by the activists of Ljubljanska Street, the association Izolani, and the team of the bar Pri Kralju. Once again, they will prepare four film evenings, presenting three documentary films, one short feature film, and a few episodes of a comedy series by a local author.

On Wednesday, October 1, at 7.00 p.m., the festival will host a local author, graduate director, farmer, dry stone waller, and a truly unique personality, Drago Parovel from Truške.

We will see his excellent short film Aničina hiša, which he made during his studies, followed by the big-screen premiere of several episodes from a comedy series that Drago Parovel wrote and filmed for Koper Television in the 1980s, when he worked there for some time. The series featured both professional and amateur actors and was broadcast on several Fridays at the end of the program Odprta meja.
