At the end of September and the beginning of October, Izola – more precisely, Ljubljanska Street (Largo pri Špini) – will once again host the Street Film Festival, called UFF (Ulični filmski festival).
This will be the third edition of this “small festival,” which was initiated by the activists of Ljubljanska Street, the association Izolani, and the team of the bar Pri Kralju. Once again, they will prepare four film evenings, presenting three documentary films, one short feature film, and a few episodes of a comedy series by a local author.
On Tuesday, September 30, at 7:00 p.m., at Largo pri Špini, the documentary film ŠUM BALKANA by director Boris Petkovič will be screened.
Tomaž Grom, double bassist, composer, improviser, and sound researcher, carried out an interesting experiment in the countries of the former Yugoslavia. He got into his van and, in the streets of Maribor, Zagreb, Tuzla, Novi Sad, Priština, Tirana, and Skopje, began searching for street musicians, encouraging them to respond sonically to his musical framework. The result was something unusually powerful.
