19th century. The Swiss city of clockmakers is changing under the influence of new technologies. Josephine, a young factory worker, makes the 'unblinking' wheels that oscillate at the heart of mechanical clocks. Confronted with a new way of organising money, time and work, she joins the local movement of anarchist watchmakers, where she meets the Russian traveller and cartographer Peter Kropotkin.
