The market is part of the Zero Kilometre project, which supports local agriculture and promotes the use of ingredients sourced from the immediate surroundings. Many restaurants in Izola also participate in the project and include predominantly local ingredients in their menus.
You can visit the market from May to September, every Wednesday and Saturday between 8:00 and 13:00, on the square along 1st of May Avenue. It is a wonderful opportunity to fill your basket with fresh, seasonal and locally grown delicacies from the surroundings of Izola.
