Theatre play for children: Mala Murska deklica
Location: Park Pietro Coppo
Time: 6.00 pm
Free entry
The performance is in Slovenian language.
The little Murska girl is at home below the river's surface, where the mill on the Mura turns its wheel day after day and the storks diligently guard their nests. But one day she decides to travel. She longs to see what it is like "over the hill", if the water is perhaps bluer and the wind blows funnier and if the sunrises are more orange. So she asks the most adventurous man, the postman Joži, who has seen half the world, to take her on a journey with him.
The little Murska girl leaves her hometown and sets off in search of stories from around the world. She experiences many beautiful things, makes many friends, learns new stories and, most importantly, discovers something she has to share with you. The show reveals the beauty of Prekmurje and other hidden corners of Slovenia, the stories of towns and cities and a special realisation that we all know, but still need the Little Murska Girl to remind us of. This colourful journey will be accompanied by folk music, arranged as you have never heard it before, helping to weave tradition with modernity, all in a way that appelas to children. It will be beautiful, joyful and emotional. You will certainly be tempted to seek out some of the fairy tales hidden in the land of the Little Murska Girl.
