IRAQ IN A TRAVEL BAG & SHARED COOKING

The travel evening will take visitors to Iraq – a land of remarkable cultural and natural wealth and hospitable people. Travel writer Brina Sotenšek will present her journey, revealing through her storytelling images of everyday life, resilience, and the life energy of the people who, despite challenging socio-political conditions, carefully rebuild and revive their surroundings.

The event will be complemented by a shared cooking experience inspired by the flavours of the Middle East. While preparing the dishes, participants will also have the opportunity to talk and exchange impressions about the country, its culture, and its people.

The event is organised by ART KUHA and the KVART Association in cooperation with the Centre for Culture, Sports and Events Izola and the Municipality of Izola.

The evening will be moderated and the creative cooking session led by Tanja Plešivčnik Zelenko.
