Bathing waters in Izola are suitable for swimming again
Good news for everyone who enjoys spending summer days by the sea – following Svetilnik, the water at Delfin Natural Bathing Area is once again suitable for swimming.
Based on two consecutive compliant water samples and following consultation with the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ), the recommendation against swimming at Delfin Natural Bathing Area has been lifted.
The results of samples taken on 12 and 13 August 2026 showed that the levels of indicator bacteria were once again below the guideline values set by NIJZ. Samples taken at additional monitoring points near Izola Marina were also compliant.
Following the lifting of the swimming advisory at Svetilnik, swimming is now once again possible without restrictions at Delfin as well.
Up-to-date information on bathing water quality is available on the Bathing Water Map of the Slovenian Environment Agency (ARSO).
See you by the sea!
