Complete Traffic Closure during the Fishermen’s Feast 2025

We inform you that due to the traditional event Fishermen's feast in Izola (22 and 23 August 2025), the organizer – Center for Culture, Sports and Events Izola – will introduce a complete traffic closure.

When and where will the closures take place?

Phase I

  • Thursday, 21 Aug 2025, from 6:00 until Sunday, 24 Aug 2025, 19:00

  • closure: Sončno nabrežje, Lonka parking, Veliki trg, Krpanova Street and all streets crossing the event area

Phase II

  • Friday, 22 Aug 2025, from 6:00 until Sunday, 24 Aug 2025, 19:00

  • closure: Old town centre west of Gregorčičeva Street (including Gregorčičeva)

Phase III

  • Friday, 22 Aug 2025, and Saturday, 23 Aug 2025, from 19:00 until 3:00

  • closure: Unnamed street behind Košaki

Phase IV

  • Friday, 22 Aug 2025, and Saturday, 23 Aug 2025, from 19:00 until 3:00

  • closure: Area north of Prešernova Street

  • access: Argolina and Tomažičeva car parks (via Morova and Dantejeva Streets)

  • note: if parking is full, closure may start earlier, between 18:00 and 19:00

Phase V

  • Friday, 22 Aug 2025, and Saturday, 23 Aug 2025, approx. from 21:00 until 3:00

  • closure: Area north of Prešernova Street

  • closure will be enforced once Argolina and Tomažičeva car parks are full

Important notice

During the complete closure, there will be no bypass. Traffic will be disturbed throughout the old town of Izola and in certain streets.

Deliveries

Those requiring delivery access during the event must obtain a delivery permit in advance at the organizer’s office:

Organiser kindly ask for patience, respect for traffic signs, and compliance with the instructions of the competent services.
