Complete Traffic Closure during the Fishermen’s Feast 2026

We inform you that due to the traditional event Fishermen's feast in Izola (21 and 22 August 2026), the organizer – Center for Culture, Sports and Events Izola – will introduce a complete traffic closure.

When and where will the closures take place?

PHASE I

Thursday (20 August) from 6:00 a.m. until Sunday (23 August) at 7:00 p.m.
Closure: Sončno nabrežje, Lonka parking, Veliki trg, Krpanova Street and all streets crossing the event area

PHASE II

Friday (21 August) from 6:00 a.m. until Sunday (23 August) at 7:00 p.m.
Closure: Old town centre west of Gregorčičeva Street (including Gregorčičeva)

PHASE III

Friday (21 August) and Saturday (22 August), from 6:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
Closure: Unnamed street behind Košaki

PHASE IV

Friday (21 August) and Saturday (22 August), from 8:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
Closure: Area north of Prešernova Street
Access: Argolina and Tomažičeva car parks (via Morova and Dantejeva Streets)
Note: if parking is full, closure may start earlier, between 18:00 and 20:00

PHASE V

Friday (21 August) and Saturday (22 August), approximately from 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
Closure: Area north of Prešernova Street. Closure will be enforced once Argolina and Tomažičeva car parks are full

During the complete closure, there will be no bypass. Traffic will be disturbed throughout the old town of Izola and in certain streets.

Delivieries

Those requiring delivery access during the event must obtain a delivery permit in advance at the organizer’s office:
Center for Culture, Sports and Events Izola, Ulica oktobrske revolucije 1.

 
Organiser kindly ask for patience, respect for traffic signs, and compliance with the instructions of the competent services.
