Temporary swimming advisory at two bathing sites in Izola
The National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) currently advises against swimming at two bathing sites in Izola – at Delfin Natural Bathing Area and at part of the Pri svetilniku Bathing Area, at the sampling point by the pier.
Preliminary results from the regular monitoring of bathing water quality have shown elevated levels of Escherichia coli bacteria at these two locations. The competent authorities have already carried out additional water sampling, and the results will be available at a later date.
Visitors are kindly asked to follow the recommendations of the NIJZ and the warnings displayed at the locations, and to refrain from swimming at the affected sites until new results are available.
According to the information currently published, the bathing advisory applies specifically to the two sampling points mentioned above. The latest information on bathing water quality can also be checked on the ARSO online bathing water map.
We will keep visitors informed of new results and any changes to the recommendations.
