The Octet Aljaž was founded in 2009. Since its foundation, the artistic director of the Octet Aljaž has been the academic musician and baritone MATEJ LAZAR. Under his baton sing the first tenors FABJO TULJAK and DAVID MITTENDORFER, the second tenors GORAN MARKUČIČ and MAKS BEMBIČ, and the basses JANKO RUŠT and MATJAŽ KLJUN.
