Wine walk: Izola in a glass

You can get to know Izola through its streets, stories, the sea – and wine. The walk takes you through the stone streets of the old town, past traces of Venetian heritage, the fishing way of life and today’s everyday life by the sea.

Each stop reveals part of Izola’s story, while each wine presents a different character of Slovenian Istria – its varieties, landscape, people and tradition.

The route is led by a local and sommelier who knows Izola step by step and wine by character. This makes the experience more than just a wine tasting; it is a relaxed walk through the town, its stories and flavours.

The wine walk is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to experience Izola differently – slowly, with a feel for the place, its story and a glass of good wine.
