Registrations are now open: Culinary Days of Slovenian Istria
The year 2026 will be marked by a series of four culinary campaigns that will connect hospitality providers in a joint promotion of local ingredients and Istrian gastronomy. Each campaign will last two weeks, during which inns and restaurants will offer special menus focused on one typical ingredient of Slovenian Istria:
Wild Asparagus Days: 27 March – 12 April 2026
Calamari Days: 22 May – 7 June 2026
White Sea Fish Days: 30 October – 15 November 2026
Young Olive Oil Days: 15 January – 31 January 2027
All hospitality providers from the municipalities of Ankaran, Koper, Izola, and Piran are invited to apply if they wish to co-create a unique gastronomic experience. Priority will be given to providers who use local ingredients, offer characteristic Istrian dishes, and hold recognitions for quality and sustainable cuisine.

The organizers will ensure strong promotion for participating providers across all Love Istria communication channels (website, social media, newsletter), with the support of a digital advertising agency as well as radio advertising. Promotion will also be carried out through the destination channels of each tourist destination individually.
