The Fishermen’s Festival is a traditional event with more than 40 years of history. This celebration of fish and fishermen is a true Mediterranean feast, known for its rich culinary offer – especially seafood – performances by popular musicians, fun games, and various sports and cultural events.
At every corner, visitors can discover something new: the baptism of new rowers and sailors, a mini swimming marathon, plenty of fish dishes, and tastings of typical Istrian delicacies.
Lots of fun, seasoned with typical coastal humour and, of course, a full plate of fish – this is the recipe that has been attracting visitors from all over the world to Izola for decades.
