A Different Catch Every Day, a New Story from the Sea

The true charm of seafood cuisine lies in the freshness and unpredictability of the daily catch. The sea does not offer the same delicacies every day, which is why the selection of fresh wild-caught fish varies at participating restaurants. This is precisely what makes the experience so special: what arrives on your plate reflects what the sea has provided that day.

Therefore, not all the listed fish species are necessarily available every day. For current availability, prices and reservations, we recommend contacting your chosen restaurant directly before your visit.

Izola, a Town with a Fisherman's Soul

For centuries, fishing has shaped the lives of Izola's residents and played an important role in the town's development. Fishing boats, nets, fish processing and the daily catch are all part of a rich heritage that continues to live on in Izola's stories and cuisine.

White fish is a wonderful example of how high-quality ingredients can be transformed into an exquisite dish. Sometimes, just a few drops of olive oil, a pinch of salt and a simple seasonal side dish are enough to bring the flavours of the sea to life.
