Paul Grem is a rock band from Koper that combines influences of blues, country and classic rock, weaving them together with personal and expressive lyrics in Slovenian.
Their sound is raw, honest and marked by a mature songwriting style, distinctive guitar lines and compelling stage energy. Their album Luč preteklosti has been described as a carefully crafted debut that reflects the band members’ many years of musical experience.
The band’s name came about almost by accident. Shortly before their first performance, after a long and unsuccessful search for a name, bass player Patrik finally lost his patience and declared: “If we still don’t have a name, then I’m leaving!” In Slovenian, he said: »Če še nimamo imena, pol grem!« The words “pol grem” inspired the name Paul Grem – a band that has confidently set out on its own musical journey.
The band consists of Dušan Sagadin Duco (vocals and guitar), Marko Stropnik (guitar), Andrej Rot (guitar), Patrik Grbac (bass guitar) and Mitja Stropnik (drums).
